CLIFFORD NAVIS After a lengthy illness, it is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Clifford Navis, at the age of 62 years, on May 21, 2003. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 42 years, Vera; his children, Michael (Janet), Richard (Theresa) and Christie; brothers, Brian Gwizon (Norma) and Alan Gwizon (Bonnie) beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Joshua; nephews and nieces, Ian, Neil, Ashleigh and Erin. Cliff was predeceased by his father Zane Navis who lost his life serving his county in the Second World War; by his mother Stella Gwizon (nee Sokolowski) and his stepfather Joseph Gwizon. Clifford was employed as a transportation agent with Northwest Airlines for 32 years until his retirement in March 1997. He cherished his friendships with co-workers and the many passengers he came to know over the years. Clifford loved "oldies" music, particularly from the 1950s, family gatherings and vacations. Cliff had a wonderful sense of humour and was never at a loss for a good joke or a witty retort, both of which he kept through his illness, right through the time of his passing. A service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Rev. Deacon Walter Knysh officiating. The family thanks the Victoria Hospital 5th floor staff, and especially Wendy, Frank and Trevor who provided Cliff much care and comfort. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of ones choice. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 1020 MAIN ST. 582-0973
